So frustratingly true:
Almost every time they started to speak, they were interrupted or shot down before finishing their pitch. When one had a good idea, a male writer would jump in and run with it before she could complete her thought.
For the most part I feel okay about being a woman in a male-dominated workplace: I have colleagues who are sensitive and self-aware enough to understand my position, and they’re almost all trying really hard, but one thing I’ve found exceptionally difficult to combat is men taking credit for my work and ideas. It doesn’t matter that the men who do it tend to be weak, unimaginative, territorial shitheads – it still makes me want to explode with anger.
