I just started following Broadly, which is Vice’s ‘women’s channel’. There’s some really interesting stuff in there, but when reading about Cameroon’s horrendous ‘breast ironing’ tradition, for example, I can’t help but imagine the commissioning meeting:

— “It’s about tits?”
— “Yep”
— “Can we show pics?”
— “Sure”
— “Can we put the word ‘breasts’ in the headline?”
— “Yep”
— “SOLD”

I guess what I’m saying is, I don’t properly trust Vice with women’s issues yet.
